How To Set Up Free SSL on the Cpanel server?

You can use SSL certificate for free on your Cpanel server. The steps to do this are simple. By applying the following guidelines, you can give your sites SSL support.

The free Let’s Encrypt ™ plug-in allows you to automatically create cPanel accounts for your server with Let’s Encrypt SSL certificates for sites that do not have a valid signed SSL certificate.

This plug-in only works with AutoSSL, which generates SSL certificates for cpanel accounts.

Setup
To install the plugin, follow these steps:

Log in to the command line with SSH with the root user.
Run the following command:

/scripts/install_lets_encrypt_autossl_provider

To disable and remove the Let’s Encrypt plugin:

scripts/uninstall_lets_encrypt_autossl_provider

Configuration
Use WHM’s Manage AutoSSL interface (WHM >> Home >> SSL / TLS >> Manage AutoSSL) to select Let’s Encrypt as an AutoSSL provider
